Every contract represents years of hard work, difficult conversations, and a shared commitment to supporting the people who keep PG&E running every day.

At the Table is an educational effort, by PG&E, designed to provide coworkers with clear, factual information about the proposed IBEW Physical Table Agreement. Our goal is simple: help coworkers understand what's in the agreement, how it compares within the industry, and what it means for their pay, benefits, and future.

As coworkers review the agreement and prepare to make their own decision, we believe it is important to have access to the facts.

A Commitment to
Competitive Pay

Per the table agreement, PG&E physical coworkers will earn the highest total compensation – combined wages and benefits – of any investor-owned utility in the nation.

These wage increases recognize the skill, dedication, and essential work performed by IBEW-represented coworkers across the company.

Wages That Have
Outpaced Inflation

Compensation growth for IBEW Physical coworkers has consistently exceeded inflation.

Over the last three years, wage increases have outpaced inflation, and the proposed 5% increases would exceed inflation in all but one of the last 25 years.

Going back even further, earnings growth for IBEW Physical coworkers has outpaced inflation by approximately 45% over the past 25 years, demonstrating the continued value of collectively bargained wage increases and the company's commitment to maintaining competitive compensation over time.

While economic conditions can change from year to year, the long-term trend reflects sustained growth in coworker earnings that has exceeded increases in the cost of living.

Retroactive Wage Increases

The proposed agreement also includes a retroactive application of the General Wage Increase back to January, ensuring that eligible employees receive the benefit of negotiated wage increases for the period covered under the agreement.

This provision helps ensure coworkers receive the full value of the negotiated compensation package.

Coworkers should have received a personalized estimate of their retroactive payment, including overtime, in late August.

Lowest Coworker Benefit Contributions

Compensation is about more than wages alone.

Under the agreement, coworker medical contributions remain the lowest of California's major investor-owned utilities, helping keep healthcare affordable for employees and their families.

Supporting the Workforce

The proposed agreement reflects a broader commitment to attracting, retaining, and supporting a highly skilled workforce.

The work performed by IBEW coworkers is essential to serving customers, responding to emergencies, maintaining critical infrastructure, and helping build California's energy future. Ensuring coworkers are well cared for through competitive pay and benefits remains a key priority.

As you review the proposed agreement, we encourage you to learn the facts, consider the information, and make the decision that is right for you.
